Susanne Riemer and Wilhelm Geschwind play songs of the good life

For hours for two or even alone Susanne Riemer brought the very latest CD of the duo Riemer/ Geschwind with the title "Ton in Ton" to potential interested parties on her bicycle in the last weeks. In these encounters, she was always concerned with a minimum distance. Very close, at least acoustically, on the other hand, she is recorded in twelve compositions from her pen and mixed by the multiple Grammy Award winner, the sound engineer Klaus Genuit, known from his work with the WDR-Bigband.

Susanne Riemer und Wilhelm Geschwind spielen Lieder vom guten Leben

Für Stunden zu zweit oder auch alleine brachte Susanne Riemer selbst in den letzten Wochen auf dem Fahrrad die allerneueste CD des Duos Riemer/ Geschwind mit dem Titel „Ton in Ton“ zu potentiellen Interessenten. Bei diesen Begegnungen war sie immer auf Mindestabstand bedacht. Ganz nahe, zumindest akustisch, kommt man ihr dagegen in zwölf Kompositionen aus ihrer Feder aufgenommen und gemischt vom mehrfachen Grammypreisträger, dem Tontechniker Klaus Genuit, bekannt aus seiner Arbeit mit der WDR-Bigband.

All jenen, die zu jung sind, einen Partykeller aus eigener Anschauung zu kennen, erklärt Angela Lentzen gerne diesen Kellerraum im frisch gebauten Einfamilienhaus der 1970er Jahre, der gerne in Holzvertäfelung ausgestaltet wurde: „Ein Raum, den die Eltern eigens dafür gebaut hatten, um ihre Partys zu feiern.“

Herbert Poetes, who as chairman of the museum society at that time gave the director of the open-air museum, Josef Mangold, the impulse to preserve the milk bar, danced with Elke Feuster Jive.

Abschied von der Brühler Milchbar

Beim Abtransport ging es um Zentimeter

Zum Abschied von der Milchbar am Samstagabend herrschte Volksfeststimmung am Kaufhof vor der Absperrung zur Carl-Schurz-Straße. Kostenlose Getränke und Häppchen servierte hier der Landschaftsverband Rheinland. Musiker Charly Manderscheidt spielte Rock ‚n‘ Roll, die Beatles und was zum Schunkeln. Herbert Poetes, der als Vorsitzender der Museumsgesellschaft damals dem Leiter des Freilichtmuseums, Josef Mangold, den Impuls zum Erhalt der Milchbar gab, tanzte mit Elke Feuster Jive.
